I am a lecturer in the Dept. Of Geography at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, USA, where I teach courses in Environmental Economics, Sustainable Development, and Environmental Planning. I am also the Information Officer for the International Water Resources Association and the Associate Editor of IWRA's journal, Water International. I manage the WaterWeb listserver on behalf of the WaterWeb Consortium. My current research projects deal explore explore water professionals' perceptions of participatory planning processes, leveraging ICTs for sustainable water management efforts, and the implications of globalization for environmental management.
