Many urban areas are experiencing problems in meeting water requirements Rainwater harvesting by houses, institutions, industries and in public areas has the potential to supplement the citys' water requirement as well as mitigate to an extant urban flooding. Many places have started such a process- Sumida City in Tokyo, Japan, Berlin-Germany and Bangalore, India. The discussion topic will try to raise issues of information sharing, agenda for research, pollution mitigation, legal and economic strategies and information dissemination to make this process happen. regards vishwanath www.rainwaterclub.org
